American Association of University Professors (AAUP)

The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) is a nonprofit membership association of faculty and other academic professionals. Headquartered in Washington, DC, AAUP has members and chapters based at colleges and universities across the country.

The AAUP has helped to shape American higher education by developing the standards and procedures that maintain quality in education and academic freedom in this country’s colleges and universities. They define fundamental professional values and standards for higher education, advance the rights of academics, particularly as those rights pertain to academic freedom and shared governance, and promote the interests of higher education teaching and research.

The Delphi Project on the Changing Faculty and Student Success

The Delphi Project on the Changing Faculty and Student Success is a partnership between the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) and the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. The project addresses the fundamental shift in the American academic workforce from tenurable to contingent faculty and focuses on the effects of that shift on student learning.

Coalition on the Academic Workforce (CAW)

Coalition on the Academic Workforce (CAW) is a group of higher education associations, disciplinary associations, and faculty organizations committed to addressing issues associated with deteriorating faculty working conditions and their effect on college and university students in the United States.

National Education Association (NEA)

The National Education Association (NEA), the nation’s largest professional employee organization, is committed to advancing the cause of public education. NEA’s 3 million members work at every level of education—from pre-school to university graduate programs. NEA has affiliate organizations in every state and in more than 14,000 communities across the United States.

New Faculty Majority

New Faculty Majority is two affiliated organizations: The National Coalition for Adjunct and Contingent Equity, a 501(c)6 nonprofit membership organization, and The NFM Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity.
